We see your picture, on the walls of every church,
we see your alter, around the neck of every fraud.
But our hearts just don’t understand the shame of your cross.
Or the glory of your death.
But God I have always been taught that you died the death
I would never have to.
And it’s awesome knowing I will never be nailed to a tree.
But I don’t think that was every my death to die.
You conquered the grave and hell. Your death is my life.
But my death will be for your kingdom.
Jesus you gave up everything for me.
Your life, your position with the father, your reputation,
your comfort, you were made the laughing stock.
The rag they spit upon. All for a wretch like me?
And I continue to walk away from time to time
. As if I owe no debt to you. I can only imagine how it makes you feel.
I remember when I lost a friend to the arms of something I hate.
I remember how it felt, and the pain that it brought to my heart.
And I’m sorry cause I know I do that to you too.
But I promise I’m turning around,
I'll be better just give me one more chance.
I see you now differently than ever before, not only my savior
But my example. In life and death. I will follow you.
Let me suffer for you and I will count it all joy.
Beloved we are called to die. This life will not be easy.
But it’s worth everything we choose to give.
Jesus you are worthy of everything

Poesy Rider
